Six different school districts serve Lucas residents, including Allen ISD, Lovejoy ISD, McKinney ISD, Plano ISD, Princton ISD, and Wylie ISD. A number of Lucas residents also choose the private Lucas Christian Academy.

Its location near the intersection Highway 121 and I-75 Central Expressway give Lucas residents easy access to the hustle and bustle of the city, including all the upscale shopping and dining of Collin Country, or a straight shot south to downtown Dallas or west to DFW International Airport. Ultimately residents are minutes away from city life, but oh so far away at home.
