Lewisville, located in southern Denton County, is surrounded by 9,000 protected acres of nature including the deep water Lake Lewisville, known as “Urban Bass Fishing Capital of Texas.” The lake is also popular for water sports, boating and its miles of scenic hike and bike trails. The City of Lewisville manages Lewisville Lake Park, a 622-acre park on the south shore of the lake, located less than a mile from I-35E. From the summertime Sounds of Lewsville concerts, to the city’s annual Red White & Lewsville Fourth of July fireworks show, to the annual Western Days Festival in the fall, special events provide year round family entertainment to Lewisvillle, and build upon its strong sense of community pride. The MCL Grand in Lewisville is a boon to the area arts scene.
